Kolkata Knightriders all-rounder Venkatesh Iyer played down the opening match defeat for the team in the IPL 2023 against the Punjab Kings on Saturday.
PBKS was put into bat by Nitish Rana after winning the toss and they got off to a great start thanks to Prabhsimran Singh. Shikhar Dhawan and Bhanuka Rajapaksa then stitched together a good partnership as the Mohali-based franchise ended up scoring 191 in their 20 overs.
