IPL 2023, RCB vs LSG: KL Rahul mercilessly trolled for bizarre knock in stiff run-chase

KL Rahul was brutally trolled after his bizarre knock in Lucknow Super Giants’ match against Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) on Monday, April 10 at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bangalore.

After the Super Giants were asked to chase down 213, Rahul took his time early one and collected only a single four due to a misfield on the leg-side boundary.Rahul played until the 12th over and scored 18 runs off 20 balls before Mohammed Siraj ended his miserable stay in the middle. Rahul was involved in a partnership of 76 runs along with Marcus Stoinis for the fourth wicket off 6.4 overs.

But it was only Stoinis, who showed some intent while Rahul kept dealing in singles. Stoinis got to his half-century off 25 balls and went on to notch 65 runs with six fours and four sixes.

In the first ball of the 12th over, Rahul tried to flick Siraj over the boundary on the leg side. But the batter failed to get proper timing and holed out to Virat Kohli, who took a simple catch.

During this while, the fans were not happy with Rahul by any stretch of the imagination. They lashed out at the batter for not being able to step on the gas in a stiff run-chase on an excellent pitch to bat on.

“KL Rahul Tuk Tuk mode activated in a 200+ chase… He will put pressure on the other batsmen & he will end up his innings at 64 off 52 balls,” one of the fans wrote.
