Shahnaz Parveen, a young woman from Ladakh’s Kargil district, who is first woman from the region to win gold at a national-level taekwondo meet and represent India at the World University Games in China has urged the first-time voters on Sunday to participate in the upcoming elections and use their power of vote.
Shahnaz has said on ‘X’, “I want to say all the new voters to take part in this democratic process and contribute towards making our country much more better”.
Sources have said that the 2024 Indian general election in Ladakh will be held in or before May 2024.
