The Zonal Physical Education Department Drass today started an Inter-School Block Level Tournament at International Horse Polo Ground Drass.
In the tournament, seven High Schools and two Higher Secondary schools from Drass Block participated. In the opening ceremony, Executive Councillor Works, LAHDC, Kargil Mubarak Shah Naqvi was the chief guest.
In his speech, the EC emphasized the students to take an active part in games and sports as well as in education. He also appreciated the initiatives of the Physical Education Department for the upliftment of games and sports in Drass Block.
Nearly 960 students have taken an active part in different sports activities this year. The department has conducted different games and sports which include Hand Ball, Volleyball as well as some athletic events and 5 km road race.
