India vs Australia: David Warner thrilled to be back in India as Australia players arrive ahead of ODi series

Australia batting star David Warner said he was excited to return to India and acknowledged the warm reception he received upon his arrival ahead of the 3-match ODI series against India. Australian players landed in India on Wednesday, days after completing their trip of South Africa.

Australia played a 5-match series in South Africa which ended on Sunday, September 17 before they left for India to play their final bilateral series before the Cricket World Cup. Australia will play the first ODI in Mohali on September 22 before heading to Indore for the 2nd ODI on September 24 before finishing the series in Rajkot on Wednesday, September 27.

Earlier in the day, Steve Smith shared a photo of himself with Marnus Labuschagne and all-rounder Mitchell Marsh from a hotel room in India.

Australia will be keen on returning to winning ways after their 2-3 defeat to South Africa in the ODI series. Australia, led by Mitchell Marsh in the absence of Pat Cummins, were up 2-0 before South Africa made a sensational comeback and won the ODI series to lay down a marker ahead of the World Cup.
