Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman said during her US visit that today when we celebrate togetherness, this spirit governs the relations between India and America.
Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman has said that India and the US are working together to lay the foundation of a strong, peaceful and harmonious global community.
The Finance Minister said, “When we celebrate diversity, celebrate inclusivity, it is also important that while doing so, we share a lot of positive thoughts.”
Nirmala Sitharaman gave example of solidarity
She said that today as “we celebrate togetherness, this is the spirit that governs the relationship between India and the United States-a positive-minded relationship of two democracies with their own challenges and internal problems, but we are able to overcome them on our own”.
Don’t let it dominate you.” “We are together and are laying a solid foundation for a strong, peaceful and harmonious global community,” Sitharaman told Indian-Americans at an event organized by the Indian Embassy here to celebrate the country’s diversity.

She told Indian-Americans that you assimilated yourself or you remember your native place fondly, but you are a part of America today and are building a very dynamic and strong economy.
Finance Minister talks about India’s digital achievements
The Finance Minister said, “It is exactly the same in India. There are differences between people of different religions, different communities and different languages.” She said that if we talk about India’s digital achievements, it is an achievement to have digital platforms in different languages of India.
The minister underlined that there are many dialects which can be spoken but cannot be written because they do not have a script.
“Most of our (digital) platforms are now available in regional languages as well,” she added. The minister said that these are the means of success.
Sitharaman said that therefore every matter of diversity has been turned into an advantage for building a modern India. She said, “I want the relationship between America and India to be stronger.”
