Imprisoned former Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan claimed that his wife, Bushra Bibi, was given food tainted with “toilet cleaner.” He added that after eating “poisoned food,” her health declined since she was constantly fighting a stomach infection.
Bushra Bibi, 49, is being detained in custody at her home in the Bani Gala neighbourhood of Islamabad. She was recently found guilty in two cases: one related to corruption and the other involving her unlawful marriage to Imran Khan, 71.
Imran Khan, who is also the chief of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) made the allegations during a hearing of a corruption case in Rawalpindi’s Adiala jail, sources reported.
