People’s Democratic Party (PDP) president Mehbooba Mufti on Friday commented on the allegations levelled by the Prime Minister in downtown. She said that if Abdullah family had adopted Pakistan’s agenda then Jammu and Kashmir would have been a part of Pakistan instead of India and would have been independent. Mufti was campaigning for PDP candidate from Habbakadal, Arif Laiguru in Nawakadal. The Prime Minister had said that in Jammu and Kashmir, the National Conference, Congress and PDP are working to implement Pakistan’s agenda.
Responding to another question based on the allegations levelled by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Mehbooba said, I believe Modi ji should be grateful to the Sheikh family, especially Sheikh Abdullah, due to whose efforts Jammu and Kashmir merged with the country. When Omar Abdullah was a minister in the BJP, he brought POTA, then the BJP kept taking Omar everywhere to show that the Kashmir issue is not an issue and it is only an issue related to terrorism. Pakistan should be attacked and this matter should be resolved. I think BJP should be thankful to Sheikh family and Omar also helped them to implement their agenda here.
Mehbooba Mufti reacting to Prime Minister Modi’s comment on Pakistani Defence Minister’s statement said, I think BJP has failed on all aspects. They had promised to provide around 2 crore jobs everywhere which turned out to be 20 crore jobs in 10 years. After creating Hindu Muslim issue, lynching Muslims, demolishing mosques, now they have remembered Pakistan. This is their failure and to hide their failure they keep saying such things.
