Chief Justice said that advocates should feel proud for serving downtrodden people as people come in court to get treatment of their problem as they go to hospital for the treatment of their diseases.

December 03: Hon’ble Mr. Justice Ali Mohammad Magrey, Chief Justice High Court of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh and Hon’ble Mr. Justice Rahul Bharti Judge High Court of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh (Administrative Judge for District Pulwama today inaugurated six residential quarter for Judicial Officers and 48 lawyers chamber cum utility complex in District Court Complex Pulwama and also took part in plantation drive organized by DLSA Pulwama in collaboration with forest division Pulwama.
The plantation drive was organized by District Legal Services Authority Pulwama in collaboration with forest division Pulwama, where Hon’ble Mr. Justice Ali Mohammad Magrey, Chief Justice High Court of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh and Hon’ble Mr. Justice Rahul Bharti Judge High Court of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh (Administrative Judge for District Pulwama along with other planted tress in court complex Pulwama. The main aim of this plantation drive was to aware people so that they should come forward and take part actively in planting more and more trees as planting a tree is also a form of charity.

Principal District & Sessions Judge Pulwama Mr. Naseer Ahmed Dar, Mr. Aijaz Ahmad Khan, Principal Secretary to Hon’ble the Chief Justice, of High Court of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh, Mr. Gowhar Majeed Dalal, Registrar Judicial, High Court of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh, Mr. Meraj-Ud-Din Sofi, Additional District & Sessions Judge, Pulwama, Mr. Abdul Bari, Joint Registrar Protocol, of High Court of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh, Mr. Jahangir Bakshi Special Mobile Magistrate Traffic Srinagar, Mr. Mansoor Ahmad Lone, Chief Judicial Magistrate, Pulwama Mr. Baseer ul Haq Choudhary, Deputy Commissioner, Pulwama, GH Gellani SSP Pulwama, Adv. G.M Dar, President Bar Association, Pulwama, DLSA Secretary, Rayaz Ahmed Choudhary and others officers of District Pulwama were also present on the occasion.
Hon’ble Mr. Justice Rahul Bharti welcomed Chief Justice and expressed his gratitude for visiting the District Pulwama and inaugurating the lawyer chamber and residential quarters. In his speech Justice Rahul Bharti said that on the occasion of inaugurating the Infrastructure he would like to share the quotation of Holy Prophet (PBUH) which has always occupied a special place in his head and heart “ He who creates wealth pleases Allah “ , individual or institution whenever they create wealth that is a matter of pleasure on this planet earth. The infrastructure this institution has given to itself is a wealth of the institution. He has said that all of us are here because our predecessors has created wealth and they kept on creating.
During his presidential address, Justice Magrey lauded the role of Advocates and said that second in the Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh is Pulwama so far as the infrastructure is concerned. Lordship said that he is happy that all facilities are in place in Pulwama Court for the advocates. Further Chief Justice said that these are happy moments not only to see male lawyers but females as well, my daughters are around here. Times have gone when parents were hesitant in sending their daughters for law. We have to strengthen the Judicial system and has to make it accessible to all especially to those who are weaker sections of society and accessible justice to those who demand early disposal of their cases and for the same Bar members and we as judges have to share this responsibility collectively. Justice Magrey requested all the judges to priorities the old cases pending in the district court and also requested advocates to extent full cooperate with bench. Further said that relationship between bar and bench should be cordial for the smooth running of system. Justice Magrey said that one should serve the society in all capacities and try to become voice of voiceless.
Worthy Chief Justice thanked deputy commissioner Pulwama for identifying another ten kanal of land for the court complex. Replying to the request of President Bar association Pulwama regarding exclusive Juvenile Board and NDPS Court worthy Chief Justice said that it is the duty of society to take care of our children who are in conflict with law and also to get rid of menace of drugs as we have to answer the almighty on the day of judgment. Regarding the shortage of judges he said that we are trying our level best to fill all the vacancies and full court has recently referred 65 adhoc post of munsiff and process to fill the same is in war footing.
During his welcome address, Principal District & Sessions Judge Pulwama Mr. Naseer Ahmed Dar said that lordship has not for a moment lost sight of the pain and agony faced by the litigants living in the remote area of the union Territory and lordship has placed special emphasis on the augmentation and improvement of court infrastructure.
