Himmat Singh has taken the oath of office as the Chairman of the Haryana Staff Selection Commission (HSSC). The oath was administered by Chief Minister Nayab Saini in a ceremony held earlier today.
After assuming his new role, Singh emphasized his commitment to securing annual appointments for the youth. He stated that a “recruitment block gang” is actively trying to prevent new appointments, but he pledged to fight for the youth’s rights in the Supreme Court.
Chief Minister Saini expressed confidence in Singh’s ability to meet the expectations of the youth. He announced plans for 50,000 new job appointments in Haryana in the near future. These positions will include both Group D and Group B roles.
The Chief Minister also addressed the issue of social economic criteria for recruitment. He assured that the state government is prepared to robustly defend their stance in the Supreme Court.
Singh’s appointment comes at a critical time, with the state government facing pressure to deliver on job creation promises. The new HSSC Chairman’s commitment to fighting for youth employment in the Supreme Court highlights the ongoing legal battles that the state must navigate.
Chief Minister Saini’s declaration of upcoming recruitment drives provides a hopeful outlook for job seekers in Haryana. The commitment to 50,000 new jobs, including various groups, signifies a substantial effort to address unemployment in the state.
The emphasis on social economic criteria for job appointments remains a contentious issue. The government’s readiness to defend its policies in court underscores the complexities involved in balancing fair recruitment practices with legal challenges.
