Srinagar, June 21, (Gulistan News): The High Court of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh observed International Yoga Day at its Srinagar Complex, reflecting this year’s theme, “Yoga for One Earth, One Health.”
The event was attended by Chief Justice Arun Palli as Chief Guest, along with Justice Sanjay Dhar, Justice Mohammad Yousuf Wani, Justice Shahzad Azeem, Registrar General (Officiating), Principal Secretary to the Chief Justice, Registrar Vigilance, Member/Secretary J&K Legal Services Authority, Registrar Judicial Srinagar, Joint Registrar Judicial/Protocol Srinagar, lawyers, officers, and staff of the Srinagar Wing.
Chief Justice Arun Palli stressed the importance of Yoga, stating that adopting Yoga as a way of life helps in staying physically and mentally fit. He added that it can enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of judicial officers and stakeholders in fulfilling their duties.
Registrar Judicial Khursheed-ul-Islam, while talking to Gulistan News, shared his thoughts on the significance of Yoga. “
“I want at least 10 to 15 minutes every morning for Yoga. It helps individuals manage stressful work and brings a fresh and enlightened mind to tackle challenges effectively,” he said. He further mentioned that Yoga supports better performance in judicial responsibilities and promotes a balanced lifestyle.
Participants practiced various Yoga Asanas and breathing exercises under the guidance of trained instructors, focusing on Yoga’s role in fostering harmony among individuals, communities and the environment.
