The Jhajjar Police have released the photographs of three suspects in the murder case of INLD leader Nafe Singh Rathi and announced a reward of Rs 1 lakh for information on each of them, a National news outlet reported.

A man nabbed from Rajasthan on Friday for threatening Rathi’s family was produced before a local court on Saturday, which remanded him in police custody for two days.

The suspects are Ashish, alias Baba, of Nangloi, Atul of Najafgarh in Delhi and Deepak Sangwan, alias Nakul, of Narnaul.

Meanwhile, the man arrested from Rajasthan for threatening Rathi’s family was produced before a local court today, which remanded him in police custody for two days. “He has been identified as Dalip of Patau Khurd village in Balotra district of Rajasthan. As per preliminary probe, he is not associated with any gang,” said Jhajjar SP Arpit Jain.

The car, which was allegedly used in the crime, has also been recovered from the Rewari railway station. “The ownership of the car is being ascertained as the original owner had sold it to someone, who further resold it,” said Jain.

Certain local leaders were questioned by the police in connection with the murder case, the SP said. The leaders grilled by the police today include BJP leader Satish Nambardar and his nephew Gaurav Rathi, former chairman of Bahadurgarh MC Karambir Rathi, and present chairperson Saroj Rathi’s husband Ramesh Rathi.

Gaurav Rathi’s father Jagdish had reportedly committed suicide last year. Nafe Singh Rathi was among the persons named in the FIR for abetment to suicide.

Certain Congress and BJP leaders were grilled by the special investigation team (SIT) probing the case yesterday as well.
