Harmanpreet Kaur on T20I series defeat to Australia: We learned a lot of things from them

India captain Harmanpreet Kaur said that her team was not able to stop Australia as the hosts lost the fifth and final T20I by 54 runs on Tuesday.

Having already lost the five-match series 1-4, India had a chance to finish off the year on a high and work on their problems for the T20 World Cup 2023 but Harmanpreet’s team failed to catch up with the world champions Australia.
Harmanpreet said that India were in the match in the first 10 overs but could not stop Australia’s assault.

“I think we were really good in the first 10-12 overs. We know the kind of power they have in their game, unfortunately we were not able to stop them. Lot of learnings for us,” the India captain said after the fifth T20I in Mumbai.

Harmanpreet further pointed out the positives from the T20I series, saying she was happy with the way her team was able to clear the boundaries. She added that attacking is something that she wants to bring in her team as they prepare for next year’s T20 World Cup in South Africa.
