Handwara Police arrested three gamblers and recovered stake money in Gund Chogul area. On May 31, 2023 a police party of Police Post Chogul while on patrolling near Gund Chogul apprehended three gamblers. Stake money amounting Rs. 4810/- (Rupees Four thousand, eight hundred and ten only) and playing cards being used for the offence were recovered from the gambling spot.
The gamblers have been identified as;
1.Javid Ahmad Khan S/o Gh Mohammad R/o Galoora.
2.Gh Nabi Malik S/o Gh Mohidin R/o Gund Chogul and,
3.Mudasir Ahmad Dar S/o Abdul Subhan R/o Gund Chogul.
In relation to this, FIR No.120/2023 U/s 13 Gambling Act has been registered in Police Station Handwara and investigation initiated.
