Gram Panchayat Spituk Farka organises activities under Meri Maati Mera Desh campaign.

The Gram Panchayat Spituk Farka organised a range of activities that resonate deeply with the local populace under the overarching banner of “Meri Maati Mera Desh” at Govt Primary School Spituk Farka.

Deputy Commissioner, Leh Santosh Sukhadeve inaugurated the program with flag hoisting ceremony followed by a national anthem.

DC Leh while greeting everyone with Independence Day wishes mentioned about the significance of the components of ‘Meri Maati Mera Desh’ campaign such as Panchpran pledges, Amrit Vatikas, Shilapakalam, honoring Bravehearts, etc, and stressed on the people of Leh to actively participate in all the programs.

He also mentioned that India is a country brimming with potential, surging ahead on the path of all-round development, and in this regard contribution of the citizens, as well as various stakeholders in this progress, is consequential.

Further, he expressed gratitude to RDD Department for organising the event and appreciated the school children for performing the patriotic dance.

Earlier, felicitation ceremony was held for families of martyred soldiers honoring the sacrifices of the Bravehearts and Mitti was collected into the Mitti Kalash which would further be carried to the National Capital. A pledge was also taken covering PanchPran, affirming the commitment to the country.

The event also saw the presence of ADDC, Leh; BDC Chairperson; BDO, Leh; officers from the Indian army, Sarpanch, villagers, and the school children. Ladakh Autonomous Hill Development Council Leh District Administration, Leh.
