Deputy Commissioner Reasi, Vishesh Mahajan on Wednesday inaugurated the renovated Government Middle School Serli in Katra, an initiative led by Ayuti Foundation, an NGO dedicated to enhancing facilities in government schools.
The school now features vibrant classrooms, smart learning facilities, and interactive spaces aimed at making education engaging and accessible for students.
The foundation also distributed essential kits, including bags and uniforms, to ensure students have the resources needed for an enriching educational experience.
Speaking at the inauguration, the Deputy Commissioner emphasized the importance of such initiatives to make government schools a viable and appealing alternative to private institutions. “These efforts promote a positive societal shift by supporting families who may struggle with private school expenses”, he noted, commending Ayuti Foundation’s mission to bridge educational gaps. The foundation’s upgrades at the school highlight a community-focused approach to improving public education and extending opportunities to all.
Ayuti Foundation, led by founders Sunaina Chauhan and Kamal Chauhan, has been actively working to renovate and build facilities in underserved schools. Through projects like the Government Middle School Serli, they aim to create supportive learning environments that foster student growth and community pride. Their work exemplifies a commitment to societal welfare and equitable access to quality education, establishing government schools as beacons of opportunity for all children in the region.
