Government Orders Transfers and Posting of 12 IPS Officers

On Friday, the government issued an order effecting the transfer and posting of 12 Indian Police Service (IPS) officers with immediate effect. The new assignments are as follows:

  1. Bhim Sen Tuti – Currently serving as IGP (Hqrs) PHQ with additional charges of IGP Traffic J&K and IGP (POS) PHQ, is now posted as IGP (POS) PHQ. He will continue to hold additional charges as IGP (Hqrs) PHQ, IGP (Technical Services), and IGP (Telecom).
  2. Dr. Sunil Gupta – Formerly DIG Jammu-Samba-Kathua Range, is transferred and posted as Incharge IGP Crime, J&K, relieving Deepak Kumar IPS of the additional charge of this post.
  3. Sujit Kumar – Previously DIG CID, Kashmir, is posted as Incharge IGP Security, J&K, relieving M.K. Sinha IPS of the additional charge of this position.
  4. Vivek Gupta – Currently DIG North Kashmir Range, Baramulla, is posted as Incharge IGP Railways, J&K, relieving S.J.M. Gilani IPS of the Railway wing head charge.
  5. M. Suleman Chhoudhary – Presently DIG (Pres) PHQ, is posted as Incharge Traffic, J&K, relieving Bhim Sen Tuti IPS of the additional charge of this position.
  6. Dr. Ajit Singh – Currently DIG SIA, is posted as DIG Traffic, Kashmir, against an available vacancy.
  7. Dr. Vinod Kumar – Presently SSP Jammu, is posted as Incharge DIG Armed Jammu, relieving Ms. Sarah Rizvi of the additional charge of this post.
  8. Maqsood-Ul-Zaman – Currently SO to IGP Traffic J&K, is posted as DIG North Kashmir Range, Baramulla, vice Vivek Gupta IPS.
  9. Mubassir Latifi – Presently CO-IR 10-BN, is posted as Incharge DIG (Pres) PHQ, vice M. Suleman Choudhary.
  10. Shiv Kumar Sharma – Currently PTTI Vijaypur, is posted as Incharge DIG Jammu-Samba-Kathua Range, vice Sunil Gupta.
  11. Ms. Rashmi Wazir – Presently CO-IR-12Bn, is posted as DIG Security, J&K, against an available vacancy.
  12. Rajeshwar Singh – Currently SSP CID Hqrs J&K, is posted as Incharge DIG SIA, vice Dr. Ajeet Singh.

These changes are intended to optimize the functioning of the police force and ensure effective management of key areas within the administration.
