Good Governance Week: Distt Admin organizes Mega Awareness Camp at Kulgam

In connection with ‘Good Governance Week’ being celebrated from December 19 to 25, the District Administration today organized a mega awareness camp at the mini-secretariat, here.
The camp was presided over by the Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kulgam, Dr. Bilal Mohi-Ud-Din Bhat.
On the occasion, special focus was laid on disposal of public grievances and highlighting benefits about various Government welfare schemes and public services and the officers from all the departments sensitized the people about their schemes and also highlighted achievements recorded by their departments.
In addition, special awareness camps for unemployed youth were also organized to aware educated unemployed youth about various employment generation schemes of the government for their hand holding.
With regard to ‘Good Governance Week’, the DC said the weeklong activities are aimed to improve the public services delivery mechanism across the district and achieve 100 percent saturation under different individual benefit schemes, besides to sensitize citizens about Government initiatives by way of conducting awareness camps.
He also added that the aim of the program is to make people aware about the schemes and to make the system transparent, accountable and accessible.
He also apprised people that more than 200 services are available in online mode providing easy access to people without visiting offices within fixed timelines and making Administration accountable, accessible and transparent.
ADC, DSEO, ACR, CEO, CAHO, CAO and other officers also participated in this day-long programme.
