Gold and silver were trading on the higher side on Monday when the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) opened. The precious metals recorded a hike on the domestic market as the new week began.
Gold futures, maturing on February 3, 2023, saw a jump of Rs 125 or 0.23 per cent on the MCX. It was trading at Rs 54,354 per 10 grams on December 19.Meanwhile, silver futures, maturing on March 3, 2023, witnessed a hike too, and was retailing at Rs 67,849 per kg. Silver recorded a dip of Rs 265 or 0.39 per cent.
On Friday, gold was retailing at Rs 54,157 per 10 grams with a dip, whereas silver futures, maturing on March 3, 2023, also recorded a downfall. It was retailing at Rs 67,673 per kg.
