February 08: In a proud moment for GDC Surankote, two NCC cadets, SUO Snober Naaz and JUO Asha Tariq successfully represented the Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir at the Republic Day Camp (RDC) 2025 in New Delhi. This marks the first time in history that NCC cadets from GDC Surankote have achieved this remarkable feat.
SUO Snober Naaz participated in the PMR Drill, while JUO Asha Tariq showcased her talent in the Cultural (Dance) category, both excelling in their respective domains at the national-level event.
Their journey to RDC 2025 was challenging and inspiring. On November 18, 2024, they reported to NTA Nagrota for the initial selection process. Out of nearly 1,000 cadets, only 146 made it through after four rigorous selection phases. Over a span of three months, they underwent intense training and preparation before earning their place at the prestigious camp.
Principal Prof. Dr. Rani Mughal appreciated the dedicated efforts of Dr. Asad Imran (ANO) who has been working tirelessly with the NCC unit guiding them to achieve excellence. She also congratulated SUO Snober Naaz and JUO Asha Tariq on their remarkable achievement.
