GDC Kargil organizes workshop on ‘Mindfulness and Wholistic Well-being

Government Degree College Kargil in collaboration with Amrita University, Kerala today organized a workshop on ‘Mindfulness and Wholistic Well-being’, as part of G20/Y20 celebration.

The program started with the welcome address by Dr Javed Iqbal, officiating Principal, GDC Kargil. Narendra Anand and Shweta Anand, National Coordinator for Youth Empowerment Group, Amrita University were the resource persons for the event.

They conducted the workshop comprising various physical, mental and breathing exercises, and other activities with an objective to introduce students and staff to the domain of wholistic well-being.

They emphasized the need to channelized power of imagination, mindfulness and mental well-being. The said program was part of the larger wellness campaign being organized across the India under the aegis of G20/Y20/C20.

Students and faculty members participated in the session and shared their experiences afterward. The program was coordinated and concluded by Tsetan Dolkar, Assist. Professor, Member Seminar and Culture Committee of the college.
