GDC Kargil conducts counselling-cum-awareness session for 6th Semester outgoing students

Govt. Degree College Kargil in collaboration with the University of Ladakh today conducted a counselling-cum-awareness session for the 6th Semester (outgoing) students of the college.

The session was undertaken by a team of faculties from the University of Ladakh, Kumbathang Campus. The main objective of the session was to aware the prospective students about the various courses available, eligibility, state-of-the-art infrastructure comprising of well-equipped laboratories and ICT-enabled reading rooms, library, gymnasium, separate hostel for boys and girls, transportation facility for days scholars etc.

A team of faculty took turns to address the students of the college. The team was led by Dr Mohd Taqi co-ordinator of Admission, Kumbathang Campus.

At the outset, Stanzin Norphail, Assistant Professor of Commerce welcomed the team on behalf of the college. The session progressed with faculties from the University speaking about their domains and their scope one by one.

They spoke at length about their departments, available facilities, and intake capacity. Many students had questions and those were addressed by concerned faculties.

The session also saw a video message from Kaneez Fatima, Rector of the Kumbathang Campus for the students about the campus and the need for students to avail of the doorstep facility. The session was also attended by many faculty members of the college.

In the end, the visiting faculties expressed gratitude to the Principal, staff and students for providing them the opportunity.
