Marib Fayaz, student of 3rd Semester of Govt Degree College, Ganderbal , has emerged victorious in the TechVaganza festival, securing the First Prize in the tech competition held at National Institute of Technology Srinagar. The two-day annual techno-cultural fest, ‘Techvaganza,’ started from October 10, 2024.
The event showcases the creativity and talent of students from across the Kashmir valley, with participants demonstrating their skills through a variety of programs.
Prof Fouzia Fatima, Principal of Government Degree College Ganderbal expressed happiness for the outstanding achievement of the students especially Marib Fayaz, student of 3rd Semester and other students and described it as a testament to the exceptional talent and dedication of the students and a remarkable feat for the college.
Marib’s project stood out among participants from various professional and multidisciplinary colleges, including the students of the host institution,NIT srinagar, demonstrating exceptional innovation and expertise.
The Principal expressed heartfelt gratitude to the whole Computer Application Department including its Head of the Department for this achievement and appreciated all the pariticipated student for their outshine in the event.
Besides Marib, other students, Abid bashir (BCA 5th sem) and Moeid (BCA 3rd), were also recognised as they secure the 4th Rank and internship in the festival.
Prof. Qurat Ul Ain, HOD Department of Computer Application of the college expressed her heartfelt gratitude to the College Principal and faculty members who showed trust in the department and encouraged us throughout this journey as their mentorship and expertise played a pivotal role in this success.
She further added that the achievement not only bring laurels to our department but also reinforces our college’s commitment to fostering excellence in technology and innovation.
