Jammu, Jan 21: After a man was shot dead in Jammu’s Jewal Chowk neighbourhood on Monday, authorities ruled out any involvement from terrorism and said the event was the product of gang rivalry. Anand Jain, the Additional Director General of Police (ADGP) for Jammu, told reporters that gang rivalry was the cause of the incident.
He added there was no terrorism connection to the incident and that the member of the opposing organisation was attacked by the Gataru gang of Vijaypur.
In the vicinity of Jewel Chowk, a guy named Sumit Jandial, 37, of Vijaypur, Samba, was shot and killed by some unidentified individuals. To find the attackers, police have started a huge search.
