The comedy film “Fukrey 3,” starring Varun Sharma, Pulkit Samrat, Manjot Singh, Pankaj Tripathi, and Richa Chadha, has been performing impressively at the domestic box office. According to a report from Sacnilk.com, on Sunday, Fukrey 3 garnered ₹15.18 crore nett in India, marking its highest single-day collection thus far. This achievement comes after its initial opening at ₹8.82 crore on Thursday.

The report suggests that Fukrey 3 may rake in an additional ₹12 crore on Monday, which is a national holiday for Gandhi Jayanti. With this projection, the film, which has already amassed ₹43 crore nett in four days, could potentially surpass the ₹50 crore milestone with its earnings on day 5.

The portal predicts that Fukrey 3 is likely to achieve a total business of ₹55.48 crore in India after five days, based on early estimates. On the second day, Friday, the film collected ₹7.81 crore nett. Notably, there was a substantial 49.42 percent surge in business on the third day, Saturday, with earnings of ₹11.67 crore nett in India.

Regarding “Fukrey 3,” it was released on September 28 and received a mixed-to-positive reception from both fans and critics. This installment picks up where the second part concluded. The original “Fukrey” was released in 2013 and gained significant popularity. “Fukrey Returns” followed in 2017.

The third installment retained the core cast, including Pulkit Samrat, Manjot Singh, and Varun Sharma, though Ali Fazal was not part of the main cast. Ali, who appeared in the first two installments, made a cameo appearance in this third one.

In a recent interview with Firstpost, Richa Chadha, Varun Sharma, and Pulkit Samrat discussed how their roles have evolved and matured in “Fukrey 3.” Varun commented, “You know, so we have just picked up from where we left off the last time. So it may have taken six years to get it all together. And we have lost a few years due to Covid-19 as well. But the story essentially has progressed only six months to one year. So we pretty much continue.”
