In Delhi, the price of petrol is ₹96.72 per litre, while diesel is priced at ₹89.62 per litre. In Mumbai, petrol costs ₹106.31 per litre, while diesel is priced at ₹94.27 per litre. Prices differ from state to state because of a number of variables, such as the Value Added Tax (VAT) levied, freight costs, municipal taxes, etc.
