A senior advocate and a former General Secretary of Jammu and Kashmir High Court Bar Association (HCBA) has been arrested and booked under Public Safety Act (PSA), a media report said today.
As per a report in The Week, Mohammad Ashraf Bhat was arrested from his residence in the Rawalpora area of Srinagar late last night.
He was booked under the PSA, and shifted to Kathua jail in Jammu.
Last week, former president of the bar Association Nazir Ahmad Ronga was arrested and also booked under PSA.
Last month, senior advocate and former Bar Association President Mian Qayoom was arrested over the murder of advocate Babar Qadri by terrorists in 2020.
