“Food Carnival” organised at Desh Bhagat Global School

To develop culinary skills among students, Desh Bhagat Global School, Mandi Gobindgarh, organised “Food Carnival” on its premises . The lawn of the school was beautifully decorated according to the theme. A large variety of dishes were presented by DBGS students. The food carnival was inaugurated with the floral welcome of judges and chief guests. Mr. Rinku, chef from DBU and Dr. Aman Sharma judged the dishes and asked the requisite questions from students pertaining to their dishes. In this event, around 80 students from grades VIII to XII participated in Carnival and prepared food delicacies, representing various states of India such as Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan, Maharashtra and Tamil Nadu and also other countries like China, Italy, Korea. There were around 18 groups of students who participated in the carnival. First three positions were declared as winners, according to the rubrics set out by the school. Momentos were given to the winners .Participation certificates were distributed to all the students. The principal of school, Mr. Rajneesh Madan extended gratitude to judges and the chief guests. The chairman of the school, Dr. Zora Singh and General Secretary, Dr. Tajinder Kaur applauded the efforts of students and encouraged them to keep soaring high.
