With a view to encourage students towards physics and scientific innovation, the Physics Bharat Yatra was launched today in Udhampur at the DC Office Conference Hall. The function, organized with an eye to spreading a spirit of experimentation and innovation among young minds, was attended by the Lieutenant Governor of Jammu & Kashmir, Manoj Sinha, customary lamp-lighting ceremony by the chief guest, LG Manoj Sinha.
The Physics Bharat Yatra, commencing from Udhampur, is a pioneering national movement under the initiative of “Learning by Doing”, aimed at motivating students to learn about physics through experiments and low-cost innovations.
The yatra over the course of one year will pass through all the districts of India and involve around 10 lakh students and motivate them towards greater exploration of the scientific world. With the support of 10,000 members of the organizing association, the initiative aims to develop India’s scientific temperament and meet the vision of a Viksit Bharat
