JANUARY 18 (Gulistan News Tv) : National Conference, President Dr Farooq Abdullah today paid obeisance at the revered Dargah Shareef of Hazrat Khawaja Moinuddin Chishti (RA) in Ajmer Sharif. Accompanied by party’s Additional General Secretary Dr Sheikh Mustafa Kamal and MLA Poonch Ajaz Ahmad Jan, Dr Farooq Abdullah offered prayers at the sacred shrine. During his visit, Dr Abdullah prayed for peace and prosperity, specifically for the people of Jammu, Kashmir, and Ladakh. He also prayed for the innocent people of Palestine, beseeching relief from their hardships.
Highlighting the significance of the spiritual guidance of Khawaja sahib, NC President urged people to embrace the teachings and principles of Hazrat Khawaja Moinuddin Chishti (RA),” the press release said.Earlier, on the auspicious occasion of the 813th Urs Mubarak of Hazrat Khawaja Moinuddin Chishti (RA), Dr Farooq Abdullah and Vice President and Chief Minister Omar Abdullah sent a ceremonial Chadar Sharif to the Dargah through Provincial President Kashmir, Showkat Ahmad Mir, and Imam Khateeb Dr Kamaludin Farooqi of Dargah Hazratbal.
