National Conference President Dr. Farooq Abdullah Thursday refuted any pre-poll alliance ahead of Lok Sabha polls, saying NC will contest Parliamentary elections on its own and there is no second opinion on it. He also hoped that elections for Lok Sabha and J&K Assembly may be held simultaneously.

Talking to media persons on the sidelines of a party meeting at Nawa-e-Subh Srinagar, Dr. Farooq said that upcoming Parliamentary elections and much-awaited Assembly polls in Jammu and Kashmir may take place simultaneously.

Refuting any pre-poll alliance ahead of Parliamentary elections, the senior Abdullah said NC will contest elections on its own. “NC will contest elections on its own and there is no second opinion in it,” he said.

The NC President while replying to a query on ED summons said that if they think NC will vanish with summons and arrest of Dr. Farooq Abdullah, then they are wrong. “I am going to appear before ED, but I want to make it clear if they think this act will push NC to disappear then they are wrong,” he said.
