Faculty of Pharmacy At Desh Bhagat University Hosted “Nari Shakti—Republic Day.” Celebration

 

On January 25, 2023, the Placebo Club of the Faculty of Pharmacy at Desh Bhagat University in Mandi Gobindgarh hosted “Nari Shakti—Republic Day.” The primary goal of the festival was to honour the independent India Constitution and to highlight the significance of law and order in a nation. It serves as a reminder that without a system of justice, a country cannot survive, perform, or achieve anything. Various events were organized like a parade with a flag, a dance competition, and a speech competition. The students participated in all the activities with great enthusiasm. This symbolized respect for the country and the national flag. On this day, students dressed in uniform and performed a flawless march-past as instructed by their teachers. Therefore, the children felt inspired and participated actively in the

Republic Day ceremony and celebration.

The competition was inaugurated by Dr. Zora Singh, Chancellor of Desh Bhagat University, and Dr. Rajiv Sharma, principal of the S. Lal Singh Memorial College of Pharmacy, delivered the welcome address. He explained the importance of this celebration and encouraged students to participate. Certificates were awarded to the winners. All the faculty members and students worked hard for the success of this activity. Pro-Chancellor, Dr. Tajinder Kaur, congratulated staff, students, and members of the Placebo Club for the successful conduct of the event.

The Vice Chancellor, Dr. Virender Singh, appreciated the efforts put in by students of the Faculty of Pharmacy and Placebo Club for organizing these types of activities. At the end of the event, Dr. Amit Mittal, Dean Pharmacy, delivered a vote of thanks to all the participants, students, and faculty.
