Encounter broke out in Kashmir
An encounter broke out between security forces and terrorists in Samnoo area of Kulgam district, officials said on Thursday afternoon.
A joint of team of Police, Army and CRPF after receiving information about the presence of terrorists launched a search operation in the area, officials said.
He said that as the joint team of forces intensified searches towards the suspected spot, the hiding terrorists fired upon the party, which was retaliated, thus triggering an encounter.
He said that the exchange of fire is going on in the area and two to three terrorists are believed to trapped in the village.
