An encounter broke out between militants and government forces in the Radbugh area of Magam in central Kashmir’s Budgam district.
Official sources told Gulistan News that on Sunday morning a joint team of Government forces including the Indian Army, and Jammu Kashmir Police following an input about militant movement laid a cordon and search operation in Budgam’s Radbugh area.
During the cordon and search operation, he said, the forces came under heavy fire from militants, to which the forces responded.
The entry and exit points of the encounter site have been seale and an intermittent exchange of gunfire has begun, locals told the Gulistan News.
