June 11, Srinagar: Education Minister Sakina Itoo on Tuesday confirmed that her office has taken serious note of the recent incident at Presentation Convent School, where a student was allegedly assaulted by a teacher for not bringing a notebook and was subsequently hospitalised.
“The matter was brought to my notice, and I have already directed the Director of School Education to initiate a thorough inquiry,” the Minister said while addressing reporters.
She assured that strict action will be taken against anyone found guilty.She further said that,”whoever is held responsible will face appropriate consequences,”.
