Executive Councilor, Tourism, RD and Zanskar Affairs, LAHDC, Kargil Er Punchok Tashi today inspected various construction sites to review the pace and progress of developmental works being executed by various agencies.
The EC’s visit started with the distribution of PA system and four computers to Model Public School, Padum and one portable amplifier to Himalayan Leo’s Society Padum at MPS School, Padum.
EC Tashi also visited old Masjid, multi-purpose community hall of Muslim community, Astana near Old Masjid, Eidgah and Wazukhana at Maniringmo, Padum.
He took a detailed assessment of the renovation and developmental works at all the construction sites. The Muslim community requested the EC to redress the minor issues at construction sites to which the EC directed concerned authorities on spot to solve the issues.
People of the Muslim community expressed their gratitude to LAHDC Kargil and the Executive Councilor for funding the developmental works of their community.
Tashi also inspected the under-construction works of Boys and Girls Hostel, Indoor Stadium and Staff Quarters at Govt. Model Degree College, Zanskar. He directed the concerned authorities and contractors for the timely completion of the work.
