Executive Councilor Agriculture and Health, LAHDC, Kargil Mohsin Ali today distributed free vegetable seedlings among progressive farmers of Kargil district at an event organized by the Agriculture Department Kargil.
During the event, the EC Agriculture distributed free vegetable seedlings among the progressive farmers and also interacted with them.
During the interaction, EC Mohsin asked about the agricultural practices and advised the farmers to take benefits of government-sponsored schemes in agriculture and allied sectors.
The Executive Councilor also advised them to avoid chemical fertilizers and put their efforts in order to encourage organic farming practices to achieve the goal of organic Ladakh.
During the event, the EC Agriculture visited the agriculture farm and nurseries. Later, he interacted with the concerned officers of the Agriculture Department and directed them to take measures to increase crop production in agriculture and its allied sectors.
Chief Agriculture Officer, Kacho Mohammad Ali Khan, Chief Horticulture Officer, Ali Raza, State Nodal Officer, Mohammad Hussain, Agriculture Extension Officers, progressive farmers from various villages and other concerned officers were present on the occasion.
