An earthquake with a magnitude of 4.7 hit Laddakh at around 7:38 am on Tuesday, the National Center for Seismology said. The quake occurred 401 km north of Kargil, at a depth of 150 km.
No casualties or injuries were reported in the quake.
Earlier, the Leh-Ladakh region had witnessed an earthquake with a magnitude of 4.3 on June 18. On the same day, two earthquakes had hit the Doda district in Jammu and Kashmir in the early hours.
