IndiGo flight technical issue: Due to a technical issue, an IndiGo flight 6E 2172 headed for Ranchi returned to Delhi airport less than an hour after takeoff. According to a passenger on the trip, the pilot of the IndiGo flight stated mid-flight about a technical fault in the aircraft and that the flight will return to the IGI airport.
“The pilot announced that there was a technical problem with the plane, so we’re returning to Delhi airport.” “We experienced vibration on board during the flight,” one of the passengers reported.
The IndiGo flight left the national capital about 7.40 a.m. and returned around 8.20 a.m. The IndiGo crew advised the passengers that another aircraft was being organised for the aforementioned mission.
This is the second time an IndiGo flight has returned to the airport owing to a technical issue. An IndiGo flight from Delhi to Patna made an emergency landing on Friday when one of its engines failed. The aeroplane, which carried 181 passengers and eight crew members, landed shortly after takeoff. A mechanical problem forced the plane to return to its starting point. Three minutes after takeoff, the pilot reported that one of the engines was not working.
