Dry weather to prevail in Jammu and Kashmir until October 6: MeT

The Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir is expected to experience mostly dry weather conditions until October 6, according to the Meteorological Department (MeT) forecast on Saturday.

“Generally dry weather with brief, isolated showers towards the afternoon is expected in Jammu and Kashmir today,” said an official from the MeT.

“From September 29 to October 6, the weather across the Union Territory is likely to remain mostly dry,” the official added.

Meanwhile, Srinagar, the summer capital of Jammu and Kashmir, recorded a minimum temperature of 13.8°C, while Qazigund registered 10.8°C, Kupwara 13.0°C, Kokernag 11.2°C, Gulmarg 6.8°C, and Pahalgam 9.7°C on Saturday.

In Jammu region, the winter capital Jammu recorded a minimum temperature of 22.2°C, followed by Katra at 18.9°C, Batote at 14.4°C, Banihal at 11.4°C, and Bhaderwah at 12.0°C.
