Drunk Air Force official arrested in Delhi over hoax bomb threat call to delay Rajdhani Express

Delhi Police confirmed the arrest of an Indian Airforce sergeant over his alleged bomb threat call to the police control room in a bid to cause a delay to the Delhi-Mumbai Rajdhani Express train. The arrested IAF officer, identified as Sunil Sangwan, allegedly made a call to the authorities in a bid to catch the train that he was running late for.He was arrested in the national capital for false information and misleading officials. Upon receiving the call, the officials launched a search and looked for objectionable items for over 45 minutes. However, nothing suspicious was recovered.

The train was scheduled to depart at 4:55 pm but at 4:56 pm, the accused called the authorities about the bomb.
