The District Rent Assessment Committee, chaired by Deputy Commissioner Rajesh Kumar Shavan today approved 13 rent assessment cases.
The rent cases pertained to the departments of Police, Revenue, Jal Shakti, Education, Handicrafts, Sheep Husbandry, Health, FCS&CA and other government offices functioning in rented structures across the district.
The committee discussed the fixation of rent for various structures housing government offices.
The Deputy Commissioner directed the officers to ensure timely payment of rent to the respective land and structure owners and to safeguard government/rented properties.
He further instructed the district officers to release the approved rent only after proper verification of the records.
Additionally, the Deputy Commissioner emphasized the need for the participation of building owners in the next committee meeting.
The meeting was attended by AD FCS&CA Shafqat Ali Keen, Tehsildar Nagseni Mohd Rafie Naik, AD Handloom Pardeep Shan, and other concerned officials.
