Dr Jatinder Singh holds roadshow

Dr Jitendra Singh, Union Minister and BJP Candidate for Udhampur-Doda-Kathua Lok Sabha constituency, on Wednesday (April 17) held a roadshow at Kalibari in Jammu and Kashmir’s Kathua district.

The bike rally began from Kalibari chowk and concluded at Mukherjee Chowk in Kathua district.

People confined behind barricades put up along the road raised slogans in favour of the BJP and waved party flags as Dr Jitendra Singh’s cavalcade traversed the stretch.

“This is the reply of ten years tenure of Dr Jitendra Singh’s which the people of Kathua is going to give. The people are holding a bike rally for the works Dr Jitendra Singh has done for the local public in the capacity of a parliamentarian and a leader. All the developmental works have been done but only a Shahpur-Kandi dam is yet to be completed, which is 90% constructed. A drain is yet to be built, Homeopathic college’s construction has begin and construction of other development works is going on”, one of the participant of the road show told media.

“All the people here are with Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Lal Singh and Dr Jitendra are both big guns in these elections”, another participant said.

A BJP party worker at the roadshow said, “Our central minister Dr Jitendra is getting a lot of support. All the women, children, youth, men are with Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP). The development works he has done in Kathua for masses. He has done  a lot works for the public. Dr Jitendra Singh will win more than 4 lakh votes”.

Earlier in the day, Dr Jitendra Singh,Union Minister and BJP Candidate for Udhampur-Doda-Kathua Lok Sabha constituency performed ‘Kanya Pujan’ on the auspicious occasion of Navmi at his residence, which marks the ninth day of Navaratri.

Singh offered prayers to Goddess Siddhidatri, the ninth avatar of Goddess Durga, at his residence.

Dr Jitendra Singh with his wife, family also honored nine little girls- symbolising the nine avatars of ‘Maa Durga’ and offered them ‘Bhoj’. In Hinduism, it is believed that ‘Maa Durga’ incarnated as a young girl to defeat ‘Kalasura’.
