“The development works which are in progress here will be completed soon”: Andrabi
Chairperson of the J&K Waqf Board, Dr. Syed Darakhshan Andrabi, visited Rajouri today to assess the ongoing infrastructural works at various Waqf Board-managed places of worship. Dr. Andrabi oversaw the laying of new matting at Eidgah Jamia Masjid, City Jamia Masjid, and Panjpir Mosque. She was accompanied by CEO of J&K Waqf Board Zaheer Ahmed Kaifi, Administrator Waqf Board Rajouri Abdul Qayoom Mir, and Manager Waqf Unit Rajouri Sajjad Ahmed. Prominent religious scholars and personalities, including Moulana Mohammad Farooq Naqasbandi, Farooq Muztar, Dev Raj Sharma, Jaget Ram, social activist Azam Shah, Tazeem Dar, and Ajay Sharma, were also present.
Dr. Andrabi remarked that the decision to install new matting at these significant places of worship in Rajouri before Eid was fulfilled successfully. “Numerous infrastructural projects are underway, and we expect their completion soon. The Waqf Board’s matting initiative is ongoing, and we plan to continue this project in the future,” stated Dr. Andrabi. She added that J&K is a hub of spiritual significance, and they are privileged to strengthen spiritual centers throughout the region. “Public faith and trust in the Waqf Board have been fully restored through our transparency and active presence. Public support motivates us and drives the execution of our development and upgrade plans,” concluded Andrabi.
