In anticipation of the 605th annual Urs Mubarak of Hazrat Sheikh Nuruddin Wali Rishi, a significant spiritual figure in Jammu and Kashmir, an important administrative meeting was held at Charar-e-Sharif. The meeting was presided over by Dr Syed Darakhshan Andrabi, Chairperson of the J&K Waqf Board, and included representatives from various government departments, ensuring coordinated efforts for the event.

The Urs Mubarak celebrations are set to commence on October 28, culminating on October 30, which has been declared a public holiday. Thousands of pilgrims are expected to attend the event, which will be organized with religious grandeur and tradition.

To facilitate easy access for devotees, special transportation arrangements have been made, including a dedicated shuttle service between Alamdar Basti Sports Stadium and Charar Sharif Bus Stand. “The Waqf Board, working in collaboration with district and local authorities, will ensure all necessary facilities, including transportation, security, and health services, are provided for the smooth conduct of the week-long celebrations”, said Dr Darakhshan

The Urs Mubarak is a significant religious event for followers across the region, and this year’s 605th celebration will be marked with great devotion and reverence.
