Doda, May 29 : The residents of Tawai village in Bhalesa, Doda, are facing immense hardships due to the lack of basic amenities. Recent rainfall has flooded the village, destroying crops, particularly the recently planted maize crop, which has been completely devastated and is the primary source of livelihood for the people.
The villagers attribute the damage to the absence of a proper drainage system, which allows water to enter their fields and destroy their crops.
People’s Demands
The villagers have appealed to the administration to:
– Construct pucca drains in the village
– Develop a proper drainage system
– Provide basic amenities
The people urge the administration to address these issues promptly, ensuring a peaceful life during the rainy season and improving their overall well-being.
