Continuing their campaign of drug free society the Doda police on Monday arrested a husband-wife duo red handed with heroin and cash.
As per report, the Doda police after getting information through reliable sources at 6:30am reached at the spot in Doda town, where the married couple identified as Abdul Junaid Qayoom s/o Abdul Qayoom and his wife Shafia Tabassum residents of Doda were selling drugs to addict youth, when the police reached the crime scene they apprehended the habitual peddlers on the spot with 34 gram of heroin and Rs 45460 cash.
The police has advised locals to stop consuming drugs so that these smuggling activities can be stopped.
A case FIR No. 51/2024 u/s 8/21/22/29 was registered against the heroin smugglers at Doda police station.
The arrests were made by Doda Police under supervision of Inspector Padam Dev Singh SHO PS Doda, Ajay Anand Dy.SP Hqrs Doda and under the overall supervision of Javaid Iqbal SSP Doda.
