Doda Police arrested two online fraudsters from Farrukhabad District of UP for cheating a shopkeeper of Thathri Town.
An official told that two online fraudsters namely (1) Adesh Singh son of Swarn Singh resident of Chandokha Farrukhabad UP and (2) Vishal Partap Singh son of Adesh Kumar resident of Salemnpur Bharkha Farrukhabad UP have been arrested,who were wanted in a case FIR No. 60/2020 U/S 420 IPC registered against them in Police Station Thathri. Both the accused persons were arrested from Farrukhabad District of UP state in execution of non-bailable warrant issued by the Hon’ble Court.
While giving details, Police said that an FIR No.60/2020 U/S 420 IPC came to be registered in Police Station Thathri on the complaint of one Sanjay Kumar son of Duni Chand resident of Drabshalla District Kishtwar dealing the business as wholesale supplier at Thathri stating in his complaint that he came in contact and received a call from Mobile No. 9648785929 from some person who revealed his name as Ajay Nagesh Joushi, working with indices sucrose Ltd. based at Hoshi Pura Punjab and supplies sugar to dealers at different locations.
During conversation, complainant was made to believe by the fraudster that he would supply sugar for the complainant and upon this demand of 10 tons of sugar was given by complainant for his store at Thathri. In turn a bill for Rs, 3,25000/= alongwith account No. 519902010877960 was sent by fraudster to complainant and asked the complainant to make payment on the given account. Upon this complainant sent Rs, 3,25000/= through the given account in lieu of the
deal of supplying the sugar on the demand of complaint. Thereafter, complainant again received call from the fraudster that the vehicle in which sugar had been supplied for complainant was on way towards Thathri but due to some mechanical fault the vehicle got breakdown near Udhampur and complainant was again asked to send Rs, 5000/= to vehicle driver namely Raju having Mobile No. 7668387652. Sensing some foul play, complainant asked the fraudster to send Rs, 5000/= to his account and then he would arrange to send but the fraudster denied and then the complainant came to know that he was cheated at the hands of fraudster.
Police during course of investigation established that the complainant was cheated and swindled online by the aforesaid fraudsters and after completing the investigation produced the charge sheet of the case against them in the Court of law.
Consequently on non-bail able warrants issued by the Hon’ble Court against the fraudsters, a Police team of Police Station Thathri Doda was deputed for their arrest and both the fraudsters were arrested by the Police team with the help UP Police, from Farrukhabad UP and produced them in the Court, wherefrom they were lodged in Distt. Jail Bhaderwah on judicial remand.
