Doda administration gears up for ‘My Town My Pride -2.0’

District Development Commissioner (DDC) Doda, Vishesh Paul Mahajan today convened a meeting of officers to assess the preparations for the second phase of ‘My Town My Pride’ (MTMP) programme.
All the officers were directed to achieve 100% Developmental Deliverables fixed by the government during Jan Abhiyaan starting from November, 28, 2022.
The DDC also directed the Departments to maintain close coordination with the municipalities to achieve the desired objectives of the programme.
It was decided that the venue of Jan Abhiyaan for MC Doda will be at Community Hall Doda, while for MC Bhaderwah and MC Thathri, the venue shall be at Community Hall Bhaderwah and Dak Bungalow Thathri, respectively.
The EOs were instructed to complete the sanctioned PMAY-U houses, install at least 3 hoardings per MC, put visible colours on dustbins and identify developmental projects which shall be inaugurated and launched including lanes/drains, maintenance of roads etc.
The meeting was informed that sanctioning of new water supply schemes, besides sanctioning of PMAY-U cases, new pension cases, sanction letters under individual benefit schemes, plantation drives, sanitation drives and other beneficiary schemes and activities will also be carried out during MTMP 2.0.
The status of civic amenities, street lights, Sewerage treatment plant, solid waste management techniques were also discussed in detail and DC instructed to ensure repairment if required at any place in any town during Jan Abhiyaan and give festive look to all the three MCs in the district.
He directed every department of the district to install stalls in each municipality at designated locations.
Sports events, cultural programmes and awareness should be part of the programme, added the DDC.
He said that during the My Town My Pride programme delivery of documents, like domicile, income certificates, revenue services, besides ensuring benefits under various schemes including pensions, scholarships, PMAY-U, KCC, Golden Health cards, pension etc, must be ensured in all the MCs. The programme will be used as a platform to generate awareness about various schemes/initiatives of their respective departments, said the DDC.
The meeting was attended by SSP Doda Abdul Qayoom, ADC Doda Dr R K Bharti, ADC Bhaderwah Chowdhary Dil Mir, DPO ICDS Shahida Parveen, GM DIC Doda, SDM Thathri, ACD Doda, CPO Doda, Dy Director Employment Doda, Tehsildar Bhaderwah, CMO Doda, DIO Doda, Tehsildar Thathri, EOs on MC Doda, Bhaderwah and Thathri, Ex Ens, and other district and sectoral officers of various departments.
