Doda admin kicks off winter preparations DC calls for advance measures to avoid disruption of services

Deputy Commissioner (DC) Doda, Harvinder Singh, today chaired a comprehensive meeting with district officers to assess and streamline winter preparedness measures across the District.
The meeting, held in the VC Room DC office, focused on evaluating the readiness of essential services, infrastructure, and emergency response mechanisms in anticipation of the upcoming winter season.
The meeting was attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Doda, Sudarshan Kumar, Chief Planning Officer (CPO) Doda, Manesh Kumar, and other officers from various departments. Several officers also participated through online mode, ensuring input and updates from all relevant sectors.
The DC emphasized the importance of inter-departmental coordination to address any winter-specific challenges effectively. Key areas of discussion included road clearance strategies, supply of essential commodities, power supply resilience, and emergency medical facilities in remote areas. The officers were directed to implement preventive measures to mitigate any disruptions caused by severe weather conditions.
The Deputy Commissioner also reviewed the status of snow clearance equipment, fuel supplies, and the availability of personnel for quick mobilization in case of emergencies. He stressed the need for early coordination with key stakeholders, particularly in vulnerable areas, to minimize potential hardships for residents.
